Use of plastic in the industry

The synthetic, or modified polymers, called plastic, is used in almost every branch of industry. The majority of the most commonly used plastic products is characterized by low density and excellent thermal and electrically insulating properties. Not only are they resistant to a wide range of mechanical damage and corrosion, but also they can be effortlessly given a special shape (bend, weld, cut, weld). The modified plastic with suitable additives (pigments, fillers, plasticizers, etc.) can be great for the food, chemical and automotive industries as well as sports, construction, medicine, agriculture, etc.

In almost every industry, from those related to the protection of health, through the automotive, and food the leaders are all the sorts of tanks made of plastics. Cylindrical and rectangular tanks are ideal places for treatment of waste water or drinking water. Their great chemical properties, depending on the chosen material (PE, PP, PVDF) make it work in the chemical industry (even in the case of highly aggressive chemicals), in the construction of swimming pools (both open and closed), in the production of the widely understood liquids (greases, oils, beverages), as well as in galvanic plants or at hot galvanising. The storage tanks and silos, depending on the storage capacity are ideal for storing all kinds of products. 

On the market, you will find plastic tanks adapted to almost all conditions – technological tanks (technological media storage), process tanks with stirrers, storage tanks of drinking water with the relevant certificates, etc. In the case of safe storage of products, it is worth to mention plastic baths and plastic palettes, including capturing baths (galvanizing) used in the galvanic industry, and capturing palettes.

There is no way to enumerate all of the devices made of plastic. The most popular and most requested by customers products are: flue-gas desulfurization installations, mist eliminators and sprinkler systems, as well as scrubbers and sewage neutralizers. The polymers are invaluable for building or creating pipelines (from PP, PE, PVC, PVDF). It is all thanks to their high strength and abrasion resistance. 

Plastic industry is extremely developed – at present, the plastic is present in almost every area of life, or the economy. A key aspect is the possibility of material regeneration . The effective, relatively quick and inexpensive way to repair damaged, plastic items is their welding, including extrusion welding (with extruder) or with a wire. We can weld almost every polymer: PE, PP, PVC, PVDF, PFA, PPS, MFA, ECTFE, PTFE etc. Another, equally good option is plastic welding (welding of pipes made of PE, PP, PVDF) or gluing PVC.
